Through the implementation of the EAAD method from the EAAD-Best project funded by the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA), our Polish partners seek to bring about positive change in local communities.

As part of European Mental Health Week, all 41 local communities of Metropolis GZM have been invited to sign the Declaration Against Depression in support of EU Best Practice for public mental health. This declaration is a significant step towards promoting mental health awareness and addressing the issue of depression in local communities. The signing of the declaration will pave the way for various activities such as awareness-raising campaigns, psychiatrists’ training for general practitioners, work with local leaders, and self-help groups for patients and their relatives.

Interested individuals can visit the European Commission website to register for the event here: poland.representation.ec.europa.eu/events/.

The Katowice City – live, work & invest – event will be held on May 23th and will be live-streamed on Facebook (PL) and YouTube (EN), with simultaneous English translation. This event follows the previous #WarsawAgainstDepression event and seeks to continue the discussion on mental health awareness and support.

The importance of mental health cannot be overemphasized, and it is inspiring to see our Polish partners taking significant steps toward promoting mental health awareness and support.

Let us all join hands to support this initiative and promote mental health awareness in our communities!
