Estonian events in October 2022

World mental health event

Our Estonian partners had a seminar on World Mental Health Day where they welcomed all young people and adults with the aims to help participants better recognise the signs of depression, the causes and the different ways they can help themselves and their loved ones. It was a practical public seminar on mental health, wellbeing and coping with depression that was held in the Pärnu Library.

International mental health conference

Our Estonian alliance in Pärnu organised an international event On the 27th of October with the focus on depression and the importance of existentialism. Concepts that are universal to human existence were addressed, including but not withstanding: death, suffering, freedom, love, responsibility, destiny, solitude, communion and the meaning of life. We had speakers from Norway, Sweden and Germany and as a special guest speaker, the work and health care minister or Estonia – Peep Peterson.
