We would like to express our gratitude to EPAPSY (Association for Regional Development and Mental Health) for their tremendous efforts in participating in two significant events during the month of April to represent EAAD-Best. These events brought together healthcare professionals from various disciplines to address the pressing issue of depression and suicidal behavior in Greece. Our Greek partners showcased their commitment to fostering awareness, sharing knowledge, and enhancing collaboration to combat these critical mental health challenges. Let us delve into the details of these two events.
On April 8, the team participated in the pan-Hellenic conference of pharmacists in Athens, gathering the interest of thousands of pharmacists and representatives of the pharmaceutical market from all over Greece. They organized a workshop with the topic on “Depression and suicidal behavior. The detection and correct referral by the pharmacists” where they were met with great interest and response from the participants and started important discussions on the topic.
On April 22, EPAPSY’s coordinator, Mrs. Fexis participated in the pan-Hellenic conference of general medicine in Katerini, northern Greece. A workshop for general practitioners was organized which covered a wide range of topics around depression and suicidal behavior. We are pleased to say that there was a lot of interest from participants and our Greek partners have exchanged information to keep in touch about EAAD’s tools.
