Our Hungarian partner successfully presented the EAAD-Best project and promoted the Velem Lehet Beszélgetni initiative in Szeged, one the biggest festivals in Hungary. Over 100,000 individuals participated in the event , and our partner, Végeken Mental Health Foundation, spread our message at the Civil Village, highlighting that depression can affect anyone, but it’s manageable. In collaboration with the EAAD-Best program, the ‘Velem Lehet Beszélgetni’ (velemlehetbeszelgetni.hu) initiative’s goal is making it easier to seek help and share mental struggles for children and adolescents. Through this channel the EAAD-Best and its message can reach the younger generation, where the depression prevalence is highest than ever. To our delight the festival attendees enthusiastically engaged in the programs available at the booth.

Our Hungarian partners also engaged with young people at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics campus day. During the event, they had the opportunity to promote our EAAD-Best program at a booth in collaboration with the “Velem Lehet Beszélgetni” initiative. The Végeken Foundation used various communication games to involve new students at the university, then introduced the EAAD program and emphasized the importance of depression awareness and prevention. Our Hungarian colleagues were happy to report that the programs were enthusiastically received by the young attendees at the booth.
